A Friesian being showed in front of an original restaured Friesian "sjees". I dont know the english word for that type of carriage.
The paintwork and woodcarvings are specific to certain historical periods. The woman driving is wearing a traditional regional costume.

Friesians (in front of a sjees) in Holland are for some reason always shown like this. I think its a great tradition and should be kept this way. It adds to the allure of the breed.
